Dalkey
Tidy Towns for the Heritage Town of Dalkey circa.4300 BC to 2015 AD |
There
are many ways in which people can assist the effort to maintain and improve
the environment of Dalkey and the Committee would welcome anyone who can
volunteer in even the smallest way.
One hour a year would help, even if one is house bound or infirm, you can still help, please ask for details. Here we have some suggestions but we would welcome any others also. |
Participate
in the regular litter patrols. In summer these are held twice during the
week and again at weekends.
In winter the patrols happen a minimum of once a month. It is not necessary to attend every week or even frequently as we welcome anyone who is available to turn up. |
Tuesday Mornings |

Thursday

We
do specific projects such as clearing vegetation in beauty spots in the area.
Again we work with as many volunteers as are available on the day. If anyone
is interested in being an occasional volunteer please let us have your email
or mobile number by calling…Contact
Us ..We
will advise by email or text message in advance of an event giving details
of location / start-times etc and each volunteer can decide whether they want
to attend.
|
We
have great success when local groups take responsibility for their square
or section of street or road. If anyone would like to organise this we will
supply the group with special litter bags, pickers etc. Contact
Us
as above. ·
|
In
addition we would be interested to hear from anyone who would like to
help by
sponsoring a seat, a tree or flower planters. Again Contact Us please. Dalkey is beautiful, but can be so much more. |
